Her optometric education included ocular disease training at the Nonconnah Boulevard VA Clinic in Memphis, TN, where she cared for veterans afflicted with various eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
Subsequently, she continued her training at The Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO, where her focus shifted to pediatric patients as young as one month old. Here, she managed cases involving strabismus and amblyopia.

Her global experience extended to the University of Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia, where she provided specialized care to myopic children, employing treatments like atropine, Ortho-K, and multifocal contact lenses to slow myopia progression.
Dr. Krol completed her training at The Illinois Eye Institute, where she engaged in co-management of cataract surgeries, collaborated on the treatment of advanced glaucoma patients, and co-managed retinal surgeries with some of the most distinguished optometrists and ophthalmologists in the Chicagoland area.
Following graduation, Dr. Krol joined Absolute Vision Care in Mokena, Illinois, where she continued to co-manage LASIK and cataract surgeries, while addressing a broad spectrum of eye diseases before relocating to Salt Lake City in 2021.
Throughout her optometric journey, Dr. Krol participated in mission trips to Bolivia and Jalisco, Mexico, delivering eye care to underserved populations—an experience that deeply resonated with her and one she intends to continue in the future.

Outside of eye care, Dr. Krol enjoys traveling, skiing, and hiking with her husband and friends.
